I would be interested in saying good-by to the New Westminster Junior High as it was called in 1949.  I was in Grade 7 and we were the first students to enter NWSS.  I remember the teacher had a map to show us where our next class was,  all students had to remove the blakies on their shoes so we wouldn't damage the floors, we had up stairs and down stairs and had to walk at least a foot from the wall.  My first homeroom teacher was Mr. Smith, then Miss Douglas, the art teacher, and then Miss McKenzie the typing teacher.

I now live at Thornbridge Gardens which is next door to the new school and from my window I daily watch the building of the new school.  I expect it will be ready in January.  I cannot believe that the new school I went to in Grade 7 is now going to be torn down and I'm watching its' replacement being built.
